Psychological and Behavioral Correlates of Early Adolescents’ Physical Literacy

Purpose : Physical literacy is understood to be important for adolescents’ behavioral and psychological wellness. Yet, date, limited empirical data exist support such reasoning. Addressing this gap, the present study examined relationships between physical early education engagement, leisure-time exercise behavior, well-being. Methods The level of 187 adolescents ( M age = 12.84, SD 0.55, girls 99) was measured using Canadian Assessment Literacy. One week later, pertaining standardized measures engagement in education, well-being were collected. Results Structural equation modeling revealed that positively correlated with exercise, positive affect, vitality, whereas it negatively negative affect. Conclusion findings from work substantiate contention has manifold benefits
